What is the Difference Between a Personal Trainer and Small Group Personal Training?

RS Fitness is a boutique Personal Training Gym in Glasgow City Centre which offers both Personal Training and Small Group Personal Training.

When we receive a new enquiry, clients often ask us what the difference is, so we thought it would be helpful to give an overview of the variations between both.

Personal Training Glasgow:

Personal Training at RS Fitness Gym Glasgow is lead by our Head Coach, Ricky Singh. Ricky has been helping clients achieve their fitness goals since 2011. With over 10 years of experience, he has worked with clients of all ages, fitness levels and with varying health conditions and injuries, helping them work on a becoming a better version of themselves. Back in 2011, there were nowhere as many Personal Trainers in the Glasgow area, whereas now we can understand why it has become increasingly hard for clients to choose the right trainer to work with.

Ricky is an experienced and innovative coach, his passion lies in long term transformative measures that support clients in making lifelong changes. We know all too well that a Google search can throw up thousands of fad diets to help transform your body in under 10 days but the reality is, unless you starve yourself there is no instant fix. Ricky works with each client in creating science based goals that are achievable yet challenging. If you have lurked around the back of a Body Pump or Legs, Bums and Tums class, not knowing what weights you should have chosen or how to squat properly then a Personal Trainer is a great way of learning a new way of exercising - specifically for your needs. Ricky is honest and frank, yet encouraging and supportive - key qualities when learning something that is new and possibly quite demanding.

Personal Training varies between £40-£60 per session, so two sessions per week could cost an upward of £100.

Small Group Personal Training Glasgow:

RS Fitness Personal Training Gym Glasgow provides a fantastic timetable for anyone looking for a hybrid way of training, you still get the experience of a Personal Trainer but with the bonus of working alongside a small group of people who are also on a similar journey to you. Is this not just a gym class? No - it’s so much more. You’ll do similar exercises but every session will always have something tailored for you, whether it’s a substitute exercise due to an injury or specific weights, chosen to help you build your strength. You’re always covered by your coach, who is observing and ensuring you are doing each exercise correctly and at a pace that works for you.

Taking out a small group PT membership can range between £129-£199 per month, averaging out at between £12.50 - £15 per class. It’s all about context, and knowing what level of assistance you need to help you achieve your desired results.
